The Math Center provides free walk-in tutoring help for all South Puget Sound Community College students. Its purpose is to promote the success of students enrolled in math courses and/or courses where mathematical concepts are applied, such as chemistry, physics and economics.

The center is staffed by a coordinator and several student-peer tutors with a goal to aid students in developing their mathematical abilities. We specialize in finding out the concepts & skills you need to improve in order for a better understanding of mathematics. Instruction in the center is informal, and tutors often work with more than one student at a time.

We strive to provide a pleasant, non-threatening environment for independent studies. It is a great place to do homework and get coached right away so you can move on. We also support and guide you in using the math software that many courses require. A variety of books, videos and computer programs are available for student use within the center.
